the FAQs

What Is A Doula?

A doula provides physical, emotional, and informational support to families during all stages of pregnancy including prenatal, labor and postnatal. We provide comfort, assist with communication, advocate for mom, provide information, and so much more. A doula is not only a great support person for mom, but dad as well.

What If I Don’t See A Package That Works For Me?

That is totally okay! These are not one size fits all packages, but more like an outline. We can get a better idea of what you are needing in your free consultation and curate a plan from there.

What If I Plan To Get An Epidural, Do I Need A Doula?

Absolutely. Along with emotional & informational support, we are trained to assist mom in positioning with an epidural. Part of our training included an “EpiDoula” course.

What Payment Plans Are Offered?

We invoice through Square. You can choose to pay in one lump sum up to two weeks before delivery, or we can split the payment into installments, all due two weeks prior to guess date.

Do you accept insurance and/or HSA cards?

Both Allison & Monica currently accept HSA/FSA payments.

Where Are You Located?

We proudly support mothers across Kentucky.

Allison serves Georgetown and its surrounding areas, including Lexington, Frankfort, Richmond, Louisville, and Bowling Green.
Monica supports families in Georgetown and nearby counties, stretching from Lexington up through Northern Kentucky.

Many services—such as birth preference and education sessions, registry guidance, and select prenatal or postpartum planning—can also be offered virtually.

“I went into labor 5 weeks early, and I was absolutely terrified. Nothing was happening the way I expected, and all I wanted was to avoid another C-section. Monica dropped everything to be with me — no hesitation, no questions, just pure support. From the moment she arrived, she became my anchor.

She talked me through every option, every decision, every scary moment. She made sure I understood what was happening and helped me feel grounded when I felt overwhelmed. Even when it became clear that we had to go ahead with another C-section, she never left my side — emotionally or physically. She reassured me, advocated for me, and helped me feel confident in the choices we were making, even when they were hard.

And her support didn’t end there. When my son was in the NICU, Monica still showed up — literally at my doorstep — with homemade soup, bread, and baked goods. She cared for me in a way that went far beyond her job description. It was kindness I will never forget.

Her presence, compassion, and steady support made one of the scariest experiences of my life so much more manageable. I truly don’t know how I would’ve gotten through it without her.

If you are looking for a doula who will truly show up for you — who will support you, comfort you, educate you, advocate for you, and love on your family during the hardest moments — Monica is the one. She is an absolute blessing, and I am forever grateful she was part of my birth story.”
